Friday’s homework

1. What did you learn today that surprised you ?
I learned a lot of things that I didn’t know about the Amish people ,about culture, religion and about their childhood. How things work for them, about their way of life. I thought they could not some kinds of food so I was surprised when I saw that they have no restriction for food. Also I learned how they live in community, that they don’t go to high school and I didn’t know that.
2. Which source of information did you find most interesting? Why?
I really enjoyed the documentary because I could see more about them, how they live and a lot of things that I didn’t know, things like how is their childhood and what happens when they grow up, about marriage, the women’s clothes changes when they get married, I saw about the baptism, also the most interesting part for me was see the former people because I could see their experience being an Amish and how life changed because of that.
3. What do you hope to learn tomorrow’s trip?
I want see how is their houses inside because they don’t have much technology so I’m really curious about it, more about their culture if they many rules, about routine and understand why they chose to live like that.
